Easter

We had a Ward Primary Activity, and before the Egg Hunt,

everyone had a contest pushing a plastic egg across the gym floor with their noses.

Matthew's kept coming apart! Poor guy, he eventually made it to the other side.

This was Easter Sunday when we all got our new Easter clothes. I HATE this picture of me, but in all the others we were making goofy faces, and there is no way I was going to put those embarrassing pictures on here! Everyone else looks perfect though, as always.

Gocarts!

While we were in Pigeon Forge, we didn't want to miss out on the gocarts! The first round, we got two double carts. The partners were Lauren and Grandpa, and close behind was Dad and Ben. They had so much fun! (There's no need to ask why I didn't ride, I'm just too scared!) The second round, Matthew really wanted to drive. So even though my Mom was biting her fingernails in fear the whole time, Matthew and Grandpa went around solo. Matthew was very safe and did really well for his first time driving a gocart!




I just thought this was a really cute picture of Grandpa with my adorable little brothers! (We couldn't forget to buy Grandpa a Tennessee hat! If you come out here, you will catch orange fever for sure. We won't let you leave without something from the orange army. Go Vols!)

Gatlinburg, Tennessee

When Grandma and Grandpa were here, we decided to spend a day in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. We had tons of fun! Matthew and Benjamin liked to climb on all the black bears. If there is one thing East Tennessee is famous for, it's the black bears from the Smoky Mountains. There were little statues of them all over the city.

When you go to a tourist trap like Gatlinburg, you know there are going to be tons of outlets and little shops and businesses. We went in to a purse shop that had all kinds of cute stuff in handbags and totes. Don't look at the picture too long though, I look terrible!!!

A Birthday Party

I'm sure that my grandparents would feel like killing me if they knew that I

put this on here, but I think it is such a sweet picture! We gave them a surprise

Birthday Party while they came to visit us. My Grandma's Birthday is April 13th,

and Grandpa's is on May 19th. I really enjoyed having them here,

and I hope that we will have more family and friends come out to visit us while we

are living in Tennessee.

The Aftermath!

So after scraping, texturing, priming, painting, priming, painting again,

and putting up molding and casing, we have a new house!!! This is the Dining Room,

The Painting

So once our grandparents got here, grandpa helped dad paint the rooms. (That is, after they retextured the ceiling.)

Here's my Daddy. :) He worked really hard during this whole thing. I think that he actually enjoys doing house projects though.

We got free samples of two different paint colors. It was a really tough decision, but we ended up choosing the one on the right.

Scrape, Scrape, Cough

For the past two weeks, our house has been under construction. Before Grandma and Grandpa came for Spring Break, my parents scraped the popcorn ceilings of our dining room, entryway, and living room. It took a really long time, and they were both sore for a few days after. Check out all that dust from the ceiling!!!

So about the coughing thing, for about a week now my mom has had a "cold". Strangely, she's had a sore throat since the scraping........ They didn't even wear masks the first day!!! Never mind the fact you could get asbestic poisoning Mom and Dad!

This is Matthew's proud moment in all this.

He was a great help during all this.

Lauren's Hidden Talent

Okay, so funny story. Lauren wanted to send some pictures of her room to her friend Emilie in Oregon. Mom said it was okay, but she didn't consider exactly how many pictures Lauren was talking about. Lauren had a little too much fun with the camera..........This is actually not a bad picture. She got her cute bedding and the oragami that she made to go across her window. Just wait, it gets better.
Okay, so she took a picture of her dresser. Nice framed picture of you and Em, Lauren, but seriously, is Emilie going to appreciate a picture of your DRESSER?!
Then she took some pictures of her calender,
and her desk, and then her bulletin board, and the vase of flowers, and she zoomed in on her CD player, her lamp, and her CONTACT SOLUTION!!! My sister took a total of 42 pictures of her bedroom. Apparently there is a future photographer in the family. Note to Mom, next time someone asks for the camera, you may want to SUPERVISE!
